Livin’ the trend

Over the knee boots have been a trend for a while now but I’ve been thinking about buying a pair for a long time. I was a bit skeptical because as much as I liked seeing them on other people I wasn’t sure about how they would look on me but since the day I got them (I bought them online) I’ve been living in them. 

They’re so comfy, stylish and sexy all at once that I don’t like any other pair of boots I own anymore! Plus they’ve kept me warm also on these last freezing day. Really, I don’t know why I’ve waited so long!

Gli stivali al ginocchio sono di gran moda da un po’ ormai, ma io sono stata piuttosto titubante sul comprarli per me perché, per quanto adorassi vederli sulle altre, non ero sicura che su di me mi sarebbero piaciuti. Mi sbagliavo. Da quando li ho ricevuti (li ho comprati online) non me li sono più tolti. 

Sono così belli, comodi e sexy che, da quando li ho provati, non sono più riuscita ad indossare un altro paio di stivali.Tra l’altro sono caldissimi e mi consentono di indossare gonne, corte, anche durante le giornate di gelo. Davvero, non so perché ho aspettato tanto!

Almost winter

Some days ago I had to leave my house really early in the morning but at least I finally had the chance to wear my new scarf from H&M. It was really cold so I wore it as a cape and it kept me warm on a freezing morning while looking super stylish as well. I guess you’ll see it a lot in the upcoming season because I do love it! 

Qualche giorno fa sono dovuta uscire molto presto, era domenica e me lo sarei risparmiato volentieri, ma almeno ho avuto l’occasione di indossare, per la prima volta, la mia nuova sciarpa di H&M. Faceva molto freddo così mi ci sono avvolta come in uno scialle di lana e devo dire che mi ha tenuto al caldo, ma sempre con un certo stile. Sicuramente la vedrete ancora, e spesso, durante il prossimo inverno perché la adoro! 

To high waist or not to high waist?

 

I’ve been a huge fan of the low rise (and the name of the blog crearly proves it!) since I was a teenager and even if in the last couple of years I’ve worn round skirts with higher waists I had never tried something with a really high waist. Until I found these ripped jeans in a Tezenis store. 

I have to say I was really doubtful about buying them even if they were half the price but in the end their grunge mood and skinny fit on the legs convinced me. And now I can tell it was a good decision. So much better than I could imagine when I was looking at my reflection on the mirror in the fitting room. 

I would have never imagined that a very high waist could be so comfortable and flattering at the same time. You can wear it with a super trendy crop top for a girly summer look or with a loose, short top for a casual outfit. I guess I’ll try both the options… And many others! 

Per anni, moltissimi anni, sono stata fedele alla vita bassa (il nome del blog lo dimostra piuttosto bene!) ed anche se negli ultimi due o tre anni ho indossato qualche gonna a vita leggermente più alta  non avevo mai neanche provato qualcosa che avesse una vita davvero alta. Finché non mi sono imbattuta in questi jeans strappati da Tezenis. 

Nonostante tutti i miei dubbi alla fine a convincermi, più dello sconto, sono stati l’aria grunge e la vestibilitá ultra skinny della gamba. E ad oggi posso dire di aver preso una decisione giusta, molto più di quanto immaginassi quando mi guardavo perplessa nello specchio del camerino. 

Mai avrei pensato che dei jeans a vita alta potessero essere così comodi e donare tanto alla figura allo stesso tempo. Si possono indossare con uno di quei top corti che saranno tanto di moda la prossima estate o con una maglia morbida per un look casual. Io proverò entrambe le opzioni… E molte, molte altre!

Moody Monday

  

In a bad mood and in my new cardigan by H&M. I really like the see-through effect, the shape and the length. It’s perfect for this time of the year especially here where we have a couple of days of real heat and then a whole week of winter. It’s also really versatile: you can wear it in a casual outfit, just like me today, with printed leggings or plain jeans or pair it with a fancy dress. It has already begun one of my favorite spring pieces.. Even on a moody Monday like this! 

Di pessimo umore nel mio nuovo cardigan di H&M. Adoro la leggera trasparenza, la lunghezza e la forma. Inoltre é perfetto per questo periodo dell’anno, soprattutto da queste parti dove si alternano giorni bollenti e settimane di clima invernale. É anche molto versatile: si può indossare, come me, su un paio di leggings stampati o jeans lisci oppure con un abito casual. Sicuramente é già diventato uno dei miei capi primaverili preferiti.. Perfino durante un lunedì nero come questo! 

Transition

Another warm day of spring, another floral scarf! I paired it with a new top from Intimissimi, with a light see-through effect and beautiful lace details, a plain skirt in grey, some floral tights and my favorite studded boots.

Un’altra calda giornata di sole, un’altra sciarpa a stampa floreale! Stavolta l’ho abbinata con una maglia di Intimissimi leggermente trasparente e con i polsini in pizzo, una gonna grigia, calze a fiori ed anfibi borchiati.

Un look che combina elementi invernali e primaverili per scivolare dolcemente nella nuova stagione.. E verso nuovi trend!
